BONDERITE® M-NT 5992 is an advanced surface treatment for aluminum based on trivalent chromium, which produces a chromium-free hexavalent conversion layer.
This layer, with its characteristic light green color, enhances paint adhesion and offers superior corrosion protection.It also provides low electrical contact resistance in its bare metal finish.
Thanks to this, we can guarantee resistance on aluminum exceeding 1000 hours in salt spray testing.
Note that BONDERITE® M-NT 5992 products are used in multi-step processes for metal surface modification, with performance influenced by factors such as preliminary surface preparation and process parameters. For this reason, we focus on surface preparation through degreasing, pickling and rinsing before the BONDERITE® treatment stage.
This practice ensures the removal of contaminants, oils and other impurities that could compromise adhesion and the final quality of the part.
